Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a scheme that makes your donations go further without costing you any extra.

Under the Gift Aid scheme, if you are a UK taxpayer, your donation increases in value by allowing us to reclaim money from HM Revenue and Customs.

For every £1 that you donate, we can claim an additional 25 pence with no extra cost to you. As you can see this is a valuable source of additional funds to GISDA.

If you pay tax at 40% you are a higher rate taxpayer and, as such, you can also benefit by claiming some money back from HM Revenue and Customs through your self-assessment tax return form. You will be able to claim a refund of 20% of the tax that you have had deducted at the higher rate. Please contact your HM Revenue and Customs office for more details.


How to donate with Gift Aid
Please complete the declaration - click here - or just tell us in person or over the phone that you are a UK taxpayer and you would like to Gift Aid your donation. You only have to tell us once every six years and we can automatically claim Gift Aid each time.
