Family Project
This project offers supported housing for expectant mothers, single mothers/fathers or families between 16 – 25 years old. Children of service users in the project are also offered support. Four Key Workers and a Team Manager staff the project
Hostels project
The project consists of 4 hostels within Gwynedd. At present the hostels are located in Caernarfon, Y Felinheli, Bethesda and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
The hostels are fully furnished houses and consist of 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room with one family occupying the hostel. The tenants are issued with a 6 months Assured Short hold Tenancy.
Every service user accommodated in the hostel will receive eight hours support per week by an allocated a Key Worker and is able to access all the services provided by the company.
GISDA works with local housing associations, Gwynedd Council and private landlords to obtain permanent accommodation for service users once they are assessed as being ready to live semi independently with support from the Floating Support Project.
Floating Support Project
This consists of 16 units, usually, the property of either a Housing Association or Gwynedd Council. Service users can either access this project directly or as a progression from the hostel project.
This project is dispersed with the service user remaining in the property once the support has been withdrawn.
As with other projects managed by the company, the service user is allocated a key worker and is able to access all the services provided by the company. Every service user accommodated in the project will receive six hours support per week.
