Young Parents Project

We received funding from Children in Need to employ two support workers for 3 years to work with young parents in Gwynedd under the age of 18.

Our support workers promote the rights of young parents, empower them and work to boost their confidence, and assist them with various issues. The support workers hold one-to-one sessions and work closely with colleagues and health visitors when necessary. They have also been successful in securing various grant applications to help the young people attend college or get help with travel or childcare costs. Although resources within the project are limited, the work of our staff has been outstanding. Several case studies demonstrate the value and success of the project, and Children in Need are extremely happy with how the project is progressing.
